Zetsu itself is very underrated. He was able to fight with mei and even dodge naruto's rasen shuriken

that's my point. Nagato protects Konan to a fault, she can clearly be a better asset than the guy who's a one trick pony

Yea, I agree she's stronger and likely a better fighter then hidan but that's not saying much as she can keep up with obito

Konan is stronger than Hidan

He's a bigger asset because she simply isn't built for Bijuu hunting, she's not taking one down or helping really. Hidan can survive pretty much any confrontation and all he needs is a drop of blood, so he's built for these tasks.

If Konan didn't have a link to Nagato the Akatsuki would never go out of their way to recruit her like they did with Hidan. She's simply there because of her relationship with Nagato.
