Questions & Mysteries Is it safe to say the Gorosei are immortal now?

#1
So with the latest chapter (1075) we can see a younger Vegapunk visiting the Gorosei.

I'd say this has to be a minimum of at least 30 years ago, if not longer given what Saturn said about having met Vegapunk a long time ago, and he looks much younger than the Ohara incident, and his head is nowhere as big.

But if you look at the Gorosei, even though they are silhouettes, you can clearly see they each have the same amount of facial hair, as they currently do, and Saturn was walking with a cane, even back then. You'd think given the amount of time that has passed, the Younger Gorosei member would be looking more like the older ones now, and the older ones would be looking more like current Vegapunk, but they don't. Their silhouettes look almost exactly the same, as they do right now.

So is it a safe bet to say these guys are indeed immortal, or could there be some other reason as to why it looks like they haven't age a day in over 30 years?

Possible, Bonnie could have also played a role.

If they are immortal, it's also clear they aren't as old as the World Gov. as when they spoke of Luffy's fruit, it came off more as hearsay as opposed to those who have experience with it.
They are probably each from different time periods, given the rarity of how often the Ope Ope no Mi must appear and awaken. So maybe the first was Im, during the Void Century. Then another one 100 or so years later, and so on and so forth.

idk if they look the same why oda would silhouette it? :choppawhat:
i think they looked bit different 30 years ago
Three of them have the old man beards though, which is what is odd. With easily a 30 year gap between then and now, that means they didn't age, or they age differently, and some of them are close to 100 years old now, and we're in their 70s back then.

From how Vegapunk looks, it was probably a bit after the MADS cover page where we see young Caesar, Judge etc, so at least 30 years ago.

It definitely supports the idea that they're immortal, but at the same time, One Piece characters age weirdly, Kureha is 141 and Shakky is 64 but looks like she's in her 20's, so they could just be long lived instead of immortal.

they could be just old like someone said.
if they are 130 years now they are still 100 years old 30 years ago and they could also use anti- aging medicine too i mean why not 😆

I wouldn't call it Confirmed but it's possible
However, i don't believe they are as old as Void Century & i also don't think they are of comparable Age
Meaning if Saturn is 300 Years Old, other could be 100 or 700 ... etc
Cuz i think they were recruited one at a time, not together

They're pacifistas from the void century.
Lmao they might be.

Kureha is likely also immortal. Oda said in SBS that the absolute upper limit of human age in one piece is 140 years, and we have people like Lao G who are dying of old age in their 70s. Kureha is 141 now and still backflipping around

He silhouetted it because it would give away that they’re immortal if they look the same as they do now
hm you think if they looked the same it's an confirmation they are immortal?
idk seems a bit too far fetched for me haha it makes more sense that oda hide it bc they looked different but that's just me :zosleepy:
