Questions & Mysteries Is it significant that the Celestial Dragons don't want devil fruit powers for themselves?

I'm wondering if there's another major drawback to devil fruit powers that we're not aware of yet. A drawback that Celestial Dragons know about, that makes it entertaining for them to subject other people to and not tempting to themselves.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not aware of any CD's that have a devil fruit power*. We do know that they forced Boa Hancock and her sisters to eat fruits however; so they clearly have the means to acquire devil fruits https://xender.vip/ .

*Doflamingo is an exception, but was no longer a CD when he ate his fruit. I'm excluding the Gorosei too; I'm thinking mainly about the St Charlos types.

Counterpoint: we haven't been introduced to that many celestial dragons so far.

Well i think that people who have no need to fight dont need DF either,so they prefer to stay in water (i guess they have pools or something) without losing energy

Maybe there are two types of DF. But DFs technically are contracts with ... well ...

Devil Fruits are associated with Devils. So it wouldn't make sense if Celestial Dragons eats them considering they're "Gods".

And they might have their own pools or something so they would rather have ability to swim than losing it.

Interesting, it is indeed logic to think the CDs would "pump" their power through the easiest and basically effortless method aka eat a devil fruit.

Imo Oda kept them the way they are not because of some secret they know about the df, at the very best Im knows about it and decided to have "his people" not to eat them. But most likely, imo, Oda just wanted to create the CDs as the best total scumbags he could do and so he even devoided them of any characteristic that ruined that image of perfect scumbag aka have them eat df. It was way better for their image as scumbags to have followers they ordered around to do the kill, use weapons and ultimately even use admirals as weapons when they are cornered.
