Speculations Is Oda preparing something big for Ussop next arc?

So We've had focus on nearly all the strawhats during the last 2 arcs both fighting and character-wise.

The curly hat pirates in Wci and Zoro's group this arc but one has been grossly underfocused; Ussop.

He got no focus on his abilities(only strawhat who didn't defeat anyone this raid) nor in his character,even telling Nami not to make Ulti angry while she was bullying Tama.

Remember Ussop wants to be a brave Warrior of the sea and needs to confront his Yc father at some point,So do you think Oda is ignoring Ussop right now to focus on his character and fighting abilities next arc?

This would also mean that Elbaf might be a full blown arc and not a transition one like Zou,as some theoritized.

I think so. He needs to improve his power massively in order to take on Van Auger. I expect him to develop his haki further, expecially develop CoA, or at least come up with much better stats and moveset more generically. So what a better arc than Elbaf.

Character wise but not necessarily power level wise. Ussop will always remain the weakest of the Strawhat pirates, the story requires him to be so

Oda gave him support class weapon that utilizes plants instead of a weapon that has strong offensive output. I think that Ussop does not necessarily need to surpass Yassop in 1 vs 1 situation if they meet in Elbaff, he needs to prove that he can help the team in a way that Yassop can't

I hope so. Maybe he'll have a few moments in this arc (there's still time and a few Numbers left). Oda probably has something in store for Usopp at Elbalf, considering how he got along well with most of the giants he's met and he respects them greatly.

Elbaf should be massive for Usopp. Absolutely massive. It’s his arc the way WCI was for Sanji and Wano for Zoro. Sure, he‘ll have the share the limelight with other characters, but I certainly expect him to be the main Strawhat (Luffy aside).

For sure Elbaf will be Ussops arc and for sure he will get a Power Up (Oda already foreshadowed a very good obervation haki). But Dunno if i can hope for him to change his fighting style (the whole plants stuff is more supportive). I miss the old Usopp with his diverse tools for fights (5000 pound hammer?! dafuck, and where did all the Dials go?)

I definitely think he will have big moments in Elbaf. Maybe he will get to train with some of the giants? Also in Elbaf it would be entertaining to see Usopp and Luffy geek out over the giants.
