Shanks and Sanji have paralle each other that can't be ignored easily.

Both have evil father like Garling and Judge.
Both have evil brothers.
Both hate their original upbringing. Germa and Celestail dragon.
Both has royal bloodline.
Both are wanted alive like which Holy knight try to kidnapped Shanks to try get back his original home.
Both are compared to stronger people. Shanks is compare to Mihawk. Sanji is compared to Zoro. And we know Mihawk > Shanks. Zoro > Sanji.

Well 1170 chapter has young Shank is like student while Gaban (sanji parallel) is like teacher l. Not Rayleigh or Roger.
