As you know, Oda bases One Piece characters and Events from his researchs in history; for example, the killing of Harald by Loki is based on Real Event In History when Sweyn Forkbeard usurped his father Harald Bluetooth.
But what I've noticed is that there might be a Parallel between Droggy and Broggy with real Vikings named Askold and Dir in History. And this might give a hint of how the Elbaph arc will go on.
Ever since Elbaph Arc started, I've been reading books about Vikings trying to find parallels and if there are hints of Oda basing the arc on history ( for example, when Sweyn Forkbeard usurped his father Harald Bluetooth.) For those who don't know, Askold and Dir are the only Viking brothers in the 9th century; as there are no other Viking duos that exist in the 9th century. Askold and Dir were the men of the Viking Rurik (Hroeker) who settled in Eastern Europe after slavic Tribes asked them to rule over them and were called Varangians since they were from Sweden. and the lands they ruled were called Gardarike (Swedish term for Eastern Europe). Their History comes from the Primary Chronicle written by The Monk Nestor.
But Here, Where the Parallel starts; Askold And Dir According to the Chronicle, Asked their chieftain to leave for constantinople; but in reality it was only a cover for them to go to become kings behind Rurik's back; and as they went in the lands of eastern europe; they stumbled uponthe city of Kyiv which was A Tributary city to The pecheneg Khaganate And it's locals paided tribute to avoid getting enslaved; and for unknown reasons; they became vassal kings of the Pecheneg Khaganate and there is a theory that they were powerless to face the mounted archery of the steppe nomads since they were only good at fighting on foot; hence this is the similarity with what happened on chapter 1150; Droggy and Broggy tried to resist Imu only to become Minions Of Imu.
