The cover story made it look like Yamato would start her journey in Kibi and circle around to Ringo. However, the area she was in looked like Udon two covers ago, which made it seem like she was actually starting in Udon. Then it was shown in the latest cover that Denjiro, who is now the Daimyo of Kibi, captured the kids responsible for throwing rocks at Yamato. Logically, the newly appointed Daimyo of Kibi would be in Kibi, and not the middle of nowhere in Udon.
Additionally, it was shown that a lot of Udon was turned into a rainforest by GB during his fight with King and Queen, but the area Yamato’s in looks like a barren wasteland. I don’t think we ever saw what Kibi actually looks like, so I’m thinking that Yamato is in Kibi, which just so happens to look pretty similar to pre-GB Udon
