When Sabo was talking to Dragon and Iva about Imu, Ivankov suggested a DF could have made him immortal. We are led to believe this power was the ope ope no mi, but I’m not so sure.
While it is certain possible, one thing makes me think otherwise. The fact that Imu can share his immortality to others. This lets me think that his immortality isn’t from the Ope but rather due to his own powers, which he simply lends to others.
As for the individual who got Ope Ope no mi immortality, I think it would make a lot of sense if that was Joyboy’s lunarian, aka his first mate.
In the mural, the lunarian was the one closest to Joyboy. This fact and the fact King was Kaido’s RHM, makes me think it’s very likely the lunarian was Joyboy’s RHM.
Oda often highlights right hand men and gives them a special role. With there being very few lunarians, only King and the seraphim, I think it would make the most sense if the one who received Ope immortality was Joyboy’s RHM. A lunarian, possibly waiting at Laugh Tale for the next Nika to arrive.
