Episode Discussion Just Finished Watching Moira Episodes....

I just finished watching Moira episodes (385). I am told one piece is going to get better as the manga progresses. All I am seeing now is Luffy beating up the shichibukai one after the another (crocodile and now Moira)-basically beating up anyone he meets in his journey. Don't tell me how the manga will unfold but is it all about luffy beating everyone and getting stronger? There is too much focus on him i find.

I mean sure but there's a lot you've skipped over inbetween

At the end of the day One Piece is a Shounen Adventure/Battle Manga, so the Anime is just adapting the source material - the genre is usually all about fighting - I get the feeling One Piece might not be for you if the complaints in the thread are significant to you but you're already so far into the story so you may as well keep going

I get what you are saying. But i mean comparing One Piece to naruto (for example) we see in naruto that all characters get some attention at some point. One piece we only get luffy beating up everyone ( and developping new power without proper training or mentoring). Hence my question, are we getting more excitment after Moira episodes or is it all about luffy and that's all.....

The biggest criticism of Naruto is that side characters are neglected and ignored - this issue doesn’t exist in One Piece - I’m not sure what you’re talking about

For some people the arcs in the first half are supperior than the rest... for other otherwise... I for one found later half more interesting starting WCI arc.... but if you find the beggining boring, you will one to quit OP alltogether for 3 arcs.... they were very long and very boring... I allmost quit... and read it half assed.... but bow finnaly things are wrapping up... for the ending arks will be necessary IMO... so a long joyrney awaits you.... if you make it that is.... many of my IRL friends quit one piece .... and luffy will remain jesus of OP

Every other character also gets their time to shine. Funnily enough, Thriller Bark is the arc that suffers the most from the lack of Luffy. He doesn't really do much during that arc.

I will say that other characters rise and fall in prominence, but generally the cast grows larger and more diversified. Its not just Luffy doing everything, even if he is the driving force of the narrative.
