Powers & Abilities Kage Kage No Mi

#1
This ain't my theory, I watched it on YouTube.
@moreha9685 post made me want to discuss it further.
I've read a theory that's both genius and completely stupid at the same time.
It goes like this:
>IMU said that his world is incomplete;
>Rocks called IMU a "rat king";
>"rat kings" are actual IRL phenomena in which several rats become tangled together into a giant "mountain" of vermins joined by the tails;
>IMU is actually the combined 20 OG kings who fought against the AK;
>or, the combined 19 OG kings, since Lili refused to stay in MJ;
>that's why IMU is incomplete: he's missing one piece;
>Lili's soul is the One Piece to make IMU whole.
First, Kage Kage no Mi
First this is the only fruit which doesn't not bear normal Epithets like " Rubber Man " , or " Devil fruit ~ Man ".
it's status is " Ruler of Shadows ".
Techniques
  • Doppleman (Literal translation to Silhoutte)
    • The name of the dark silhouette that Moria makes using his own shadow. He does this by using his powers of the Devil Fruit in his own shadow, causing him to rise from any surface on which he is being shaped by his body and into a three-dimensional moving state. Moria usually has this fight as "clone of shadows". Being immortal, able to instantly regenerate, and take on different forms, Doppelman is the best shield against most attacks. This was first seen being used against Luffy.[
    • I don't think even Haki can hurt it. Shit is almost like Imu regeneration.
  • Kagemusha, Literally translation " Shadow Warrior "
    • Moria can swap places with Doppelman at any time, allowing Moria to practice a form of teleportation of sorts, making it very hard to hit him.
    • Like Imu, He can teleport to where his Shadow is.
  • Tsuno-Tokage, translated as Horn Blade Shadow.
    • Gathering his shadow(s) together, Moria shoots out a large shadow spear at an opponent; the tip of this spear resembles a Horned lizard.
    • Imu literally have a similar attack.
All of these Attacks and Powers are highly similar to Imu powers.

On top of that, Fruit weakness is " Sun light " the person who's Shadow was stolen would perish in the sunlight.
Guess what Holyknights and Gorosei scared of?
Fuckin Nika - a.k.a Sungod.

Now, thanks to @moreha9685
The " Rat king Reference ".
A rat king is a rare phenomenon where the tails of three or more rats become physically intertwined, forming a single, tangled mass.

For Imu, I believe this connects to Moria final attack.
" Shadow of Asgaurd "
A supplementary, but powerful technique where Moria empowers himself with the shadows he has stolen by absorbing them. In doing so, his size and physical strength are increased in proportion to the amount of shadows he has absorbed. On Thriller Bark, he accomplished this by using his own shadow to impale and remove the shadows of his zombie minions, absorbing 1,000 shadows into himself. The large number of shadows increased his proportions to rival that of Oars and gave him physical strength sufficient to split Thriller Bark in half with a single attack. In this form, Moria's neck bloated to extreme proportions, similar to how a gecko puffs up its throat when threatened. His horns also became longer, and his hair became spiky. His arms also became very huge. while his legs became longer compared to their original stubby appearance. Because of his body proportions in this form, Moria was forced to walk on all fours.

Canon Data says, All 20 kings fought together 800 years ago.
My guess is with Imu powers, all of their powers were Absorbed and then Imu fought Joyboy/Davy Jones.

Powers such as
- 5 Gorosei
5 gorosei powers are most likely from the past users as well, they are passed down to next generation, and Gorosei who are nearly Confirmed to have lived for atleast 200 years like saturn are probably the first user who never expired. Or next generation of the King who supported it.
- Imu holding Vivi picture is most likely due to, Lily leaving mariejois and not absorbed with imu.
- Doflamingo family didn't threw away their titles and privileges, Doffy might have gotten the powers his ancestors had in past.
- Cerberus (Also present in Thriller bark)

I wanted to post this on Moria fanclub but there is no moria fan club.

I think it would be a smart move is the title of the series turns out to have more than one meaning. For decades we have speculated that it foreshadowed the world being in one piece by EOS by removing the Grand Line and uniting the seas (thus, the All Blue), or that it could actually be a willing mispelling, like with Raftel and Laugh Tale, and Oda was hinting at a One Peace all along. But now there's a possibility that, aside from those two meanings, the title could be referring to the main villain himself--who after 800 years is just one piece away from being whole and unbeatable. This way the SHs are kept as the ultimate underdogs even as the entire world joins their Grand Fleet and even as Luffy becomes a god.

* * *

And not only will IMU perfect himself EOS, but his perfection will go one step further as BB absorbs him and gives rise to a most overpowered monster, never before encountered, stronger than all main villains from the previous worlds combined. The apt opponent for the Final Nika to defeat. After one such battle, no other Ragnarok could ever come close.

Definitely plausible. The 19 Swords around the Empty Throne representing them coming together to bring peace...literally. I do like the idea.

Although, I have to wonder, if Moria's Shadow Fruit is so closely similar to Imu's powers...why was he allowed to keep it? He was a member of the Warlords for years. The World Government probably could have had him assassinated and stolen his Fruit at almost any time. It's weird he was allowed to keep it, if his powers so closely mirror Imu's. You'd think they'd want that Fruit in particular under their direct control. But, maybe Imu just wasn't worried about it?

Also, the whole "Rat King" idea, which is interesting, may not be what Oda's going for with that line.

Apparently, in the original Japanese, what Rocks is saying is "Dobunezumi no Ou". Which does mean "Rat King".
(Skip to 5:08 for the relevant part.)

Now, "dobunezumi" does mean "rat", but it's a specific KIND of rat. It's a common brown rat. Also called a "gutter rat" or a "street rat".
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/溝鼠

Which, I think implies something else. Imu...was a "street rat" who eventually became a King. In other words a poor street urchin who found their way to power. Imu...is Aladdin! (Or Storm from the X-Men, depending on what Imu's gender is revealed to be.)

Possibly literally. If Imu's "Genie" would turn out to be Nika, which would be a interesting twist. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more of a connection between Nika and Imu than we realize. I do wonder if it's possible if Imu's "wish" is what gave birth to the god Nika in the first place.

Now, both things could be true. Imu could have originally have been a poor street rat who eventually found themselves ruling most of the world. And Imu could also be hosting 19 other souls inside their body that gives them power.

Mind you, several other places list a third translation of "dobunezumi" also meaning "secret evil-doer" for some reason. I'm not quite sure what the origin of that could be, maybe a play? So, it's possible that we're all overthinking this. This might just simply be Rocks referring to Imu being the secret villain of the world.

I remember mentioning this Years ago & there are even earlier Posts regarding this,
For example, in this Post I said:

"So why does Imu need Vivi? It's cuz 20 Celestial Dragons (One from each Family) are needed to bring Story's Final Villain, hence why Vivi is the missing piece & must be Captured (Unless They can use Cobra now)

World Government are clearly inspired from Illuminati & Devil Worshippers & Secret Societies ... etc
Imu is Inspired from Story of Faust where the term 'Deal with the Devil' originated from & her Devil is Mephistos who is like Satan's Biggest General, but even Satan isn't Final Leader cuz the entire goal of this Devilish Society is to prepare for the coming of Anti-Christ"

In another Post, I also said:
As for Imu, i believe the only reason CDs are Protected & allowed to live like Gods on Earth is because of their Bloodline that is required for Mary Geoise National Treasure. In other words, for said Treasure to be used, one from each Family needs to be Sacrificed, hence why Imu wanted Vivi captured
However, I don't think Imu is Moria of Story, He is gonna be Hogback or Perona or Absalom or Mix of them.
