Character Discussion Kaido and Orochi parallels?

#1
It's interesting how now we know the biggest events in both Kaido and Orochi's lives involve being given devil fruits.

Look at this closely.

Both Kaido and Orochi refer to the people who gave them devil fruits as "Old hag" or just consider them somewhat detestable older women.

Big mom considers Kaido a "little brother" while Higurashi is implied to be Orochi's actual grandmother.

Of course Big mom was in Rocks and Higurashi is implied to have ties to Rocks (She turned into Shiki Golden lion and she's the one who connected Orochi to Kaido meaning she knew Kaido prior)

Both Kaido and Orochi's fruits are mythological variants of Dragons. Yes, in mythology, the Yamato no Orochi is called a a dragon. Same as in mythology, a koi fish turns into the Chinese dragon that makes Kaido's fruit.
(Fun fact: In Naruto, Orochimaru is called a failed Dragon sage because Yamato no Orochi is a dragon)

Both fruits give certain variations of immortality. Kaido is seemingly impervious to most forms of harm which the world conflated to "Kaido is immortal". Orochi SHOULD BE incapable of dying by simple decapitation. Orochi SHOULD BE able to get decapitated to infinity without dying. So another pseudo-immortality of sorts.

Both Orochi and Kaido are haunted by Oden's spectre. I mean we laughed at Orochi for being a coward regarding Oden but Kaido was here having entire PTSD flashbacks about the man.

Also both of these guys are on both Luffy and Zoro's shit lists. Yes both Luffy and Zoro have said they want to beat both Orochi and Kaido. Which is weird and unprecedented right?

That's about it for now. I wonder if Oda is going somewhere with this. I guess its obvious now that there should be better thematic connections between Kaido and Orochi given they are the villains of the arc. Oda just made sure to make their personalities so different that no one expects there to be strong parallels between these very different characters.

I wonder if there's a mythology story about a man getting animalistic powers from an old woman somewhere in Japan. This situations seems so unique and specific to Orochi and kaido that I feel it's most likely a reference to something.
