1. Kaido completely annihilates the Cp0 agent(similar to the old hag)
2. Sits down, drinks, and cries about why he can never get his way(referring to Luffy and Oden losing due to interference); while Luffy receives time to recover
3. Flashback starts, cuing a break next week(narratively; this is worthy enough of a break)
4. Once the flashback is over; Luffy will get the opportunity to use 1 last round of whatever Oda has in store for the final round
5. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand Luffy will lose again
All in all, Kaido's crew has been defeated and there aren't many opponents left to hold off a drunken Kaido... It's makes the most sense for him to want a clean and fair final round or else he'll be haunted the next 20 years 2x over
