For story purposes Kaido should go down next chapter, or in the next few chapters, but I really hope he doesn't. If he does.. well.. so much for:
"My audience will not be satisified if Luffy defeats Kaido just because his punch is so strong." -Eiichiro Oda.

Oda did say this, back in 2016 when we were still in Zou. I mean realistically how else is Luffy going to beat Kaido? Luffy always punches his enemies into defeat. Any other method just doesn't make sense.

the reason he can hurt kaido tho isnt because he had a strong punch
he could create massive fist in g4........ before udon.

I would have think that Chap 1048 would be Kaido's defeat considering it's out on the same day as Luffy's birthday and all but oh well. Hopefully the next chapter will wraps things up and if not then 1056 will do the job.
