Kid is set to be a life long rival for Luffy. Even if he is not yet there, he has plenty of time left. Whitebeard was still an underling of Rocks when Roger was already a notorious pirate. Kid won't die here. His ship probably had a lot of meaning to him, because it was named after his childhood crush. Think back to how Ussop reacted, when the Merry "died". Kid will seek out the only Emperor he hasn't clashed with yet and form an alliance with him to get revenge on Shanks. Teach was looking for Kid, Law and Luffy, but only because he wanted to take their Poneglyphs. Now that Kid lost his, there is no reason for the two to fight against each other.
I expect the Kid Blackbeard alliance to land on Elbaf at the end of that Arc. The Adams Tree is likely on Elbaf. The Eve Tree is on Sabaody. At the end of Sabaody, the user of the Lightfruit attacked and Rayleigh took him on. AT the end of the Elbaf Arc, the user of the Darknessfruit will come and Shanks will take him on.
Blackbeard will fight Shanks. Kid will fight Kuzan. Kuzan is still an ally of Blackbeard, but be know that he is just waiting for the right moment to stab Teach in the back. That moment will be when BBP stand before the RHP. Kuzan will switch sides. Kid will take on the traitor. Luffy's next enemy is Akainu. It makes sense for his rival Kid to take out Kuzan at around the same time. Kuzan lost a leg to Akainu and made himself a new one out of ice. Kid lost an arm to one of Akagami's men and made himself a new one out of metal.
Whitebeard went with Rocks to Godvalley. They attacked World Nobles. I think Kid and BB will attack Celestial Dragons also, when they are done with the Redhair Pirates. Currently writing on a script for my coming video: God Valley 2.0
