It makes you think that Oda no longer wants to draw this character in the work. Another point: One Piece is in its final stage, Oda no longer has time to cook up characters. Kid is useless for anything other than Power scaling, we know that Oda hates that.

Feeding BM to Kid makes no sense if he’s dead now, giving Killer a great RHM type of characterization makes no sense if they‘re out of the story. Kid had a hero-esque buildup in Wano, was stated to be one of the leaders of the new gen in the rooftop. All of that buildup won’t completely go to waste, he’s obviously alive.
