King is by far the least creative, least interesting and most boring antagonist in the entire series. All his lines consist of “...”, I can’t even remember the last thing he said that was interesting lol. It’s gotten so bad that even Queen and Jack are more interesting than him, even Trebol was lol.
The most interesting thing about him is that he’s from a race that can create fire. Gee, it’s not like 50% of all One Piece characters can already use fire techniques or anything. Hell, even 4 of the straw hats already have fire techniques lol.
Say what you will about Katakuri but atleast he had the Marienda and the Ugly Face shit to make him atleast a little interesting, King has nothing.
I guess it makes sense, King’s current opponent is also a boring “badass” character and people seem to eat that up, so I guess Oda assumed he could just do the same thing with King lol.
