it will be better if shin lost all those monstr trio
it will be a good price for openeing the gate with just a few men.

cuz somehow doesn't make sense
yep it make sense consdring how powerfull they are but it's not good for how the warfare works kingdom

i mean just let every general bring his top strongests men and send them to open every castle gate like this
it will be easy peasy lemon squeezy , castles and cities will fall in a glance as gian lol

for examble let hoken open the gates of sai with a few men
sai would have falled in a glance back then
so this why i said it's bad writing from hara

some may bring Ritsubi with ytw and Bajiu
but that was full seige and only baju made his move after the help of archers

---
anyway at least there's a sacrifice

Already given my take on this in the spoiler thread so will just quote it here
On Denyuu, not buying that he's dead btw, all of the core members that have died till now have died in pretty grand ways and for important reasons.

Bi Tou - died protecting Shin from Mangoku's unrelenting onslaught
Shou Sa - Died as a catalyst to spur on the new gen of the Hi Shin Unit (i.e. Kanto and the others and maybe potentially even open up that vice commander spot for Kanto) and also potential growth for Ten (i.e. as she is partly responsible for his death)
Kyougai - His death was used as. catalyst to push Shin & Kyokai to their limits against Hou Ken
Gaku Rai - Died as a catalyst to spur on the more prominent Garo and also the Sou Brothers. (i.e. Gaku Rai's death was a bit underwhelming but even tho he was pretty strong he didn't really have that much spot light or weight in the Hi Shin Unit in the sense of being indispensable. He's somewhat similar to Kyogai in that sense. Rather than Gaku Rai, I think the Hi Hyou unit is what is indispensable to the Hi Shin Unit)

So yh, can't imagine Denyuu dies from a few stab wounds acting as a shield for the others.
I mean weight wise, you could say him protecting that door was what allowed them to the Gian but still...Denyuu is a pretty prominent figure in the Hi Shin Unit + given how sturdy he is his, I reckon he's survive one way to the other.

Rather than Denyuu's death, I think this whole scene is just to show Denyuu's resolution and how that was strengthened through this fight after witnessing Ryuu Sen's incredibly brave suicidal move. I mean in this same chapter, Chu Tetsu saved Ryuu Sen from death, after his suicical type move so in Hara's mind Ryuu Sen is still very important to the Hi Shin Unit and Denyuu is even more prominent that Ryuu Sen imo.

but anyways, even if Denyuu is already crossing the sanzu river, keep in mind that the Shiyuu clan medicine is still a viable option to save him. Long as he doesn't kick the bucket before Kyou Kai or Kyou Rei gets to him, he'll survive.
He's a part of the monster unit for a reason, so I believe he'll pull through it.

Denyuu is not an easy replacement. His experience + monstrous strength + building skills are all very important assets to the Hi Shin Unit.
Infantry, which is the Hi Shin Unit's strongest asset is finna be hit hella hard if he dies and we ain't even gotten to Shi Ba Shou yet. I see folks making the argument of it being a worthy price for taking Gian but let's be honest current Gian isn't especially hard to take as there aren't that many forces or even any note worthy generals there atm.

*Also random thought, I brought up the Shiyuu clan's medicine earlier but will be interesting to see if Hara uses this Denyuu situation to kinda relax the tension btw the Hi Shin Unit and the Saki clan. Maybe the Saki clan can help save Denyuu somehow?

Damn, the big lads went full beast this chapter. It is always nice to see the minor characters of the HSU get their (final) moments. I hope Denyuu pulls through, he did survive a whole wave of arrows hitting him while protecting Shin during the Ai Rebellion. If he doesn't though then damn this is going down as perhaps the harshest battle so far for the HSU. :catsweat:

That sounds like a good idea. Denyuu is a pretty important bloke within the HSU to kill off.

If Hara wanted more members to die to really drive home how harsh and desperate this campaign is while not losing anyone too important then Chuu Tetsu might have been a better pick for this last stand scene.

Chuu Tetsu is an original member but he has rarely ever been given a chance to shine. Even with this "HSU monster trio" moment, he is just an extra wheel. The man has never had a bone thrown his way from the author. Lol.

Not gon lie I’m impressed he’s still alive 😂
Thought Hara woulda already shafted him :catsweat:
Reckon this moment of him saving Ryuu Sen is the most stand out moment he’s got in the series but like u said, even that is a support role. Given he’s still alive tho, it’d be interesting to see what Hara does with him. Considering his design, he could turn out to be a pretty interesting maybe even hilarious character 😂

yep he was always in shadow of dynyuu and ryusen.

but let's hope dynu death gonna give him more spot light in the future.

i don't janto or whatever was his name the new guy gonna make it. its early for him.

then the Shiyuu should open a clinic at Qin so no one could die .:risitavirus:

but seriously it will be bad if any injury fixed by Shiyuu..
it's okay as it's rarely.
