I've spent way too much time thinking about Zoro's swords, and I think I finally have the progression.
Since I have Zoro fighting Gorosei Ghandi... ahem, excuse me... "Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro", who clearly has the Shodai Kitetsu, I really want Zoro to bring the Nidai Kitetsu to the fight, so Zoro can "surpass" the superior blade.
Having two Kitetsu blades seemse a little... uh, overkill, so I figure, hey, that's the one that has to go.
BUT, I'm a Wano Act 4 truther, and part of me still wants Zoro to get Shusui back. I also want Zoro to keep Enma, and Zoro needs to retain Wado Ichimoji for Kuina/plot purposes (IE he has to fight Mihawk, the World's Strongest Swordsman, with Shusui, so they surpass him together).
So, I've been stuck on how to deal with Zoro having five swords he could potentially use (Sandai Kitetsu, Nidai Kitetsu, Enma, Shusui, and Wado Ichimonji), and how to narrow them down to three.
This is what I've come up with
Egghead: Zoro loses Sandai Kitetsu to Kizaru's light sword, Ama no Murakuo. Zoro struggled to beat a YC1, it makes sense for Admirals to still give him the business. He fights Kizaru after Saturn shows up and fights Luffy.
Wano: Zoro regains Shusui, and uses it to kill Kaido. Zoro gives Enma to Momo, after visiting Ryuma's grave and realizing he's a descendant of Ryuma. Zoro is hailed as a hero of Wano, and is given Shusui, and the Nidai Kitetsu.
And, I think that's the end line up, unless he takes the Shodai Kitetsu from Ghandi later:
If Zoro loses Sandai in a fight, it's going to be when he's fighting a real monster. And that monster is Kizaru.

Historically, Zoro has only lost his blades to strong enemies (Mihawk) or hax (the rust Fruit Marine guy, Shu, who rusted the other blade (Yubashiri) Zoro got from the Logue Town sword salesmen Ipponmatsu. It also makes sense for Momo to inherit Enma, since it was his father's sword, and once it kills Kaido, it will have fulfilled Oden's Will. Momo inheriting Oden's Two Sword Style just makes so much sense, and he needs another sword for that.
