Here's the why and how
1. Knuckle's APR is the ultimate counter to Feitan's Pain Packer
Let me remind you how APR functions.
-When Knuckle lands a punch on the opponent Potclean appears and is attached to them
-When Potclean is attached to the opponent, Knuckle's physical attacks cannot hurt him they can only increase the interest
-When Potclean is attached to the opponent, Knuckle cannot be damaged by the opponents' attacks, any attack can only return the interest
-The only way to get rid of potclean is to return more nen than you've received+interest or to make Knuckle remove it
In short Feitan cannot activate Pain Packer against Knuckle because he would receive NO DAMAGE from Knuckle's attacks and Pain Packer as its name indicate is based on damage received.
With conditions being a thing it's pretty obvious Feitan also can't mutilate himself or his nen would be weak asf since it would have no hard condition for it to activate.
2. Feitan cannot give back the interest to Knuckle based on feats
Believe it or not but Knuckle is a better fighter than Feitan from what we've seen.
Skills? After fighting a Knuckle who was MASSIVELY HOLDING BACK and hadn't even started getting half serious, Goon and Killua concluded that Knuckle would be a match for Kite in combat skills. Now for reminder Kite was skilled enough to make Pitou wish she could fight him over and over and over. Feitan has good feats vs Zazan but is it better than Kite's? I dont think so
Strength? Knuckle later proceeded to take it even further and almost killed Gon in 2 punches while STILL holding back, Gon only survived because Knuckle warned him. A serious Knuckle could literally one hit k.o kill Gon if he wanted to and that Gon was pretty much at his CA part 2 level since he got his nen removed for 1 month afterwards and couldn't train. In comparison Feitan was being overpowered massively by Monster Zazan and did not dominate base Zazan in strength.
Speed? Here's the controversial one since Feitan is extremely wanked for his speed based off a whole lot of nothing. Feitan's best speed feat is being impossible to follow for Kalluto, well Knuckle was impossible to follow for CA GON, not only has Gon always been known for his remarkable eyesight when even in Zoldyck Arc he was better than Kurapika at finding out Gotoh's trick but on top of that CA GON is above the likes of Sharnalk and Shizuki in general level and BOTH could easily follow Feitan even at max speed vs Zazan.
3. Feitan cannot use his lethality against Knuckle
Back to point 1, Feitan cannot slice Knuckle's throat if he has APR on him because it would do no damage unless he returns the interest, which he can't since Knuckle is at worst equally as fast and much more powerful physically (Feitan's KO sword broke on Zazan's back while Knuckle's base punches were making Youpi fly)
TL:DR Knuckle beats the shit out of Feitan in a fight, this isn't to say Knuckle is on a different tier than Feitan, just that matchups matter and Knuckle got this in the bag against the little man
