But he’s definitely a bigger rival than Kid, Law, or any supernova

Most supernova have mediocre crews. Even Kid and Law only have 1 or 2 good fighters.

Sword already shits on the Kid or the heart pirates. Koby has Drake and Grus, both of whom are powerhouses. At least compared to the average supernova crew.

The last time we saw sword, Smoker was headed to meet with them. If G-5 and Sword join hands, you would legitimately have a force with the potential of rivaling a yonko.

Admiral Koby
Smoker, Drake, and Grus as YC equivalents
Tashigi, Kujaku, and Yarisugi(G5 commodore) as mid tiers
Hibari and Helmeppo as SH weak trio equivalents

While obviously the good marines will never be equals to the SHs, they will likely be closer to the SHs in strength than most pirate crews. At least by EoS.

Yea he has pretty decent comrades. Even Helmelopo is a decent trained fighter who would push someone like Usopp to level up. Grus in particular will go very far. He is the kind of right hand who will keep pushing Koby to get even stronger.

Somehow Garp and Roger constantly fighting and only respecting eachother because of that is the same dynamic as Koby and Luffy, who were friends before fighting even
