I get Shiryu and Mihawk and I agree.

However the point of these fights are to hype up the Blackbeard pirates. Watching kuzan annihilate beckman isn’t going to do that. The fights pointless and Kuzan isn’t a member of the BB pirates, he’s an ally as such the top brass of the BB pirates should fight the top brass of the Red Haired Pirates.

Doubt that. Kuzan a reintroduction showed he’s just as much of a force to be reckoned with as ever, and Beckman just doesn’t seem to be on that level. Nothing he did really gave that vibe

If Cook can somehow beat a YC2 after being treated as a hype tool for 10 years, then Shiryu giving Zoro a high diff fight without beating anyone of note is within the realm of possibility for Oda.
