Did law fans read the same fight as the rest of us? Nothing the heart pirates showed vs blackbeard made his crew look any better than we already thought. Law did well against blackbeard, which was expected since he already fought 2 yonko, and the rest of his crew couldn't put down Ussop and Chopper's next opponents. How does this make him a "real rival" to Luffy and "a contender for pirate king"? His full force lost to 4 guys. All the yonko, including Luffy, have at least three commanders who can fight top tiers, several vet level officers, and a giant fleet of ships with many notable former pirate captains. Meanwhile Law's entire crew got beat by BB's equivielant of Page One, Hawkins, and Who's Who if we're being generous to Burgess.
The same thing is about to happen to Kid by the way. He and Killer are about to impress everyone by not instantly dying against Shanks and Beckman while the rest of his crew gets packed by Rockstar and Yassop, and Kid fans are going to celebrate their "giant W". But the result will be the same. Wiped out off panel by a tiny piece of a yonko's crew, and poneglyphs get stolen. All their work has just been to set uo Blackbeard and Shanks.
