Given how Logias are said to be the strongest DF type, hyping them over mythical zoans, it would only be natural for a logia's awakening to be stronger than that of the mythical zoan. They would get environmental manipulation powers that surpass those of the mythical zoan and paramecia. In addition, they would also get a transformation that surpasses that of the mythical zoans.
We've already seen what logia awakening's environmental manipulation looks like. But what about a logia awakening's transformation?
Well a normal logia transformation simply turns the user into their element. Hence, a logia awakening's transformation should be a transformation of the element itself. This would be different from a logia simply reshaping their body, like Karasu turning into birds. The latter's power was never implied to be awakening.
With awakening, a logia's body should surpass its element's normal capabilities. For example, the mera mera no mi turns its user into a red fire. This has been the case with both Sabo and Ace, so we can assume that the red flame is the standard mera mera no mi power. Awakened mera mera no mi could turn the user into a much more powerful flame: blue, white, possibly even a sun-like form of plasma.
I'll give some more examples:
normal hie hie no mi = turns body into ice
awakened hie hie no mi = turns body into absolute zero condensate
normal magu magu no mi = turns body into molten rock
awakened magu magu no mi = turns body into molten metal
normal pika pika no mi = turns body into visible light
awakened pika pika no mi =turns body into ultraviolet rays
normal yami yami no mi = because user is darkness, their body cannot become intangible and they take more damage than normal
awakened yami yami no mi = the strength of user's darkness becomes so great that the user's body begins to compress itself. This makes Teach skinnier and shorter, but his body becomes much more dense. This boosts his speed, defense, and physical strength.
yami awakening could have been what Xebec had, possibly explaining why he was much shorter than WB, BM, and Kaido.
