After my Enel = Thor, Loki = Loki thread, I've been looking for hints of the OG Loki in the series.
Whoever this guy was, he was a BIG baller. We've seen what a prehistoric climate looks like in Little Garden and Elbaph: everything gets huge.
The biggest OG Giants, the Ancient Giant Oni that lived in Prehistoric climates, were much bigger than Oars: Onigashima's Skull is somebody's actual skull, an Ancient Giant Oni's Skull
For a long time, I thought it could be Nika/Joy Boy, but we've seen Joy Boy/Nika: they're dudes that look similar to Luffy, at least in profile.
With Elbaph, it's become clear that the Onigashima Skull was some Giant of well renown who allied with Wano.
The Katana is the key: why is the Giant Katana buried next to Onigashima's Skull? Because, the Ancient Giant Oni owned that Katana.
Fun fact, BTW: this Katana is like Vinsmoke Romeo's CoC, we have no idea how big this thing is. We can guess based on shots of Onigashima flying in the sky, since the Katana didn't stick out from its bottom, but, it's Oda: I'm not fucking size-scaling this Sword after Zunesha's changed height over 9000 fucking times.
The people of Wano crafted this Katana, for this Ancient Giant Oni, who was their ally.
The OG Loki was a hero of Wano, and died in Wano-Kuni. Marco said that Onigashima used to have a different name: IMO, it referenced Loki. We see Loki fighting Imu in the Harley Mural, which is why Loki assumes he is the Sun God who will conquer Imu.
If modern Loki is comparable to Ancient Loki, it makes sense he is the way he is, and was treated the way he is: from birth, Loki's been compared to an Ancient Hero of Elbaph.
So, where's the corpse? Under Wano.
I believe Pluton terraforms earth, and Pluton created both Wano's borders, as well as the Red Line.
Wano's Borders were created by Pluton during the Void Century, to stop the WG from attacking the island.
While this happened, IMO, the country needed to be held up. We know Oars was a continent puller: Loki was a continent lifter.
Loki lifted Wano over his head, and died standing up, carrying it on his back. Eventually, his head fell off from the weight, leaving behind only a skull.
Over time, the country changed, and Loki's fate was forgotten, with only Onigashima left to mark his fate.
However, his corpse still rests... as the backbone of Wano, itself.
And there is someone, who can resurrect it.
With enough Magma, Linlin can use her Soul Pocus... to create a Magma Golem Homie with Onigashima's corpse.
Despite the Katana's huge size, Onigashima's skull is so large, that, if Oda didn't fuck the sizes up, the Katana would pretty much be a dinner knife to Onigashima (stealth Mihawk reference?)
BUT, I think Modern Loki looks to be about the perfect size, for Onigashima's Katana to be Loki's Sword. A dude dual wielding a Giant Katana and Giant War Hammer is just freaking epic.
The Katana is so large, tho, Loki wielding it might look more like Squard with his giant blade, though.
However, Enma proves that swords literally shrink in this series (it's that dang Joy Boy, making the world all stretchy), so, fuck it, Loki is ballin' regardless.
I've been struggling to decide who Loki's Act 4 fight would be, and this is it, Ladies and Gentlemen
