I am sure most people here knows Hephaestus was discarded from Hera because he was freak and cast off Olympus just like how Loki was thrown away by Estrid.
Why Hephaestus and a craftsman, now ill explain the reasons. Remember the horse Estrid gift Harold Ashura do you think a eight legged horse suddenly appearing with the same name of Zoro's move is a coincidence. Shura means path of blood and killing so i assume Ashura is Sandai Kitetsus ability but that blade is a lower grade and a prototype. I think Zoro may break Ashura in this arc or he might feel it can't keep up with his other meitos so Loki will find dead Ashuras spirit and craft a new Kitetsu from it for Zoro. Remember Gandhi also have multiple swords, a Kitetsu and a horse Zoan so upgrading Sandai with Ashuras spirit will give an edge to Zoro agains his battle with him.
There was also Loki saying, none of you can even use Ragnir so why did he said that. I think Loki wanted to destroy the world so he needed an army with strong weapons but no one in Elbaf meet his expectations when he crafted Ragnir so he is bitter about it. If Usopp can use Ragnir and that will make Loki happy and he will think these guys can use the weapons i craft so he may join strawhats.
Oda always wanted a blacksmith for strawhats and Loki can be that guy. We all know Usopp was the ship repairman before Franky joined and now with Loki joining he will also lose blacksmith role to Loki.
There is another reason too which Shamrocks blade Cerberus and i assume all Holy Knights have weapons like that so a blacksmith will be necessary for strawhats. Loki will probably make weapons for most of the strawhats so that they can get a quick power up. Shanks also have Griffon so i am pretty sure all HKs has special swords though Summers may be a low rank so his blade got destroyed by Gaban.
Another reason is Imu and him summoning black weapons from his book so we can assume Imu has shit loads of that magical weapons which makes a Blacksmith essential. It is not a coincidence where shit loads of magical weapons introduced in Elbaf, this is Odas way of showing us importance of a good blacksmith.
I assume strawhats will loose badly but Shanks will save them since he is Elbaphs protector and after that lose strawhats will train while Loki craft them new weapons. At this point Imu should establish himself as an unstoppable enemy so a win for his side is a must. Zoro and all other strawhats became so arrogant, by this lose they will become more modest and understand importance of a blacksmith.
Another reason why i think strawhats will lose is the time gap, one day in Elbaf equals 3 days outside so there might be a gimmick there that can make them stronger faster.
There is one more reason i believe Loki is Hephaestus and that is him surviving in an ice worldfor years, i mean if you don't have some kind of fire powers you'll just freeze to death like Oars.
