Oda thought he was slick with the parallels, i´m 99% sure that oda gonna introduce sooner or later the concept of nika and all 3 other skypeia gods having reincarnated every generation(montblanc noland, joyboy and luffy are the other known reincarnations for nika) with the same explanation also depicting blackbeard, imu and a third person( which i suppose is shanks) as the other reincarnations of respective skypeia´s gods.

If it turns out to be true, it´s literally the same bullshit that fans hated so much in naruto back in the day, kishimoto got a LOT of shit for it and i´m curious if fans gonna have the same energy for oda.

Despite several reincarnations, only luffy and joyboy were capable of awakening the nika mythical zoan as their rightful reincarnations despite past incarnations not being able to do that.

Going by the sun references, even fisher tiger could have been one of the reincarnations, with the difference that him, noland and several others were never able to find the fruit, let alone awaken it.

Blackbeard one of the several other reincarnations of what i guess to either be moon or earth god.

inherited will =/= reincarnation....Luffy is not reincarnation of joyboy .....he simply has the same devil fruit as joyboy....Zuneisha itself said that both him and Joyboy should keep faith on Luffy...so Luffy and Joyboy are different person....


you can't say blackbeard as whitebeard reincarnation because he is using gura gura fruit right?

and Luffy and Blackbeard parallels was long foreshadowed before Naruto indra and ashura thing.....so it is not ripoff of Naruto....

Lmao people not accepting this are lieing to themselves because they can't face the reality.
One piece took a different route moment luffy sort of became choosen one. Joyboy incarnate or his devil fruit whatever.

I lost hype from Naruto after pain arc.
And lost hype for one piece after wano.

This reincarnation stuff is a lot of plot armour.

In 2007, in a letter celebrating 10 years of One Piece, Oda said that "In this world there are extremely fortunate people, true heroes who were chosen by heaven... this conversation is about our captain Luffy" This message is available at databook green.

That said, I have no doubt that he always planned something similar to Naruto for Luffy, some like it, I think it sucks since Luffy has no merit for all his actions, he is just a puppet of fate.

Oda even says "with that luck they are capable of really extraordinary feats"
