A lot of people think Teach is going to kill Shanks. That's not going to happen. Teach is afraid of Shanks, he proved so back in Marineford.
What's more, Shanks mostly avoids confrontation and Teach has no reason to go after Shanks. Teach is hunting DFs, amongst the yonko Shanks is the only one who has no DF. His commanders don't even seem to have DFs either.
Teach is much better off going after Luffy, who has a ton of DF users amongst his crew and his grand fleet.
In any case, I feel like it has to be Luffy who brings down Shanks. This is an integral part of Luffy's dream. He specifically stated that he will surpass shanks and become pirate king. Furthermore, we now know for a fact that Shanks wants to be PK.
He said he wanted to find One Piece on his own in the oden flashback. And now he's after Kid's poneglyphs. Are we really expecting him to give up after Luffy beats Teach? I feel like Shanks is going to push a confrontation with Luffy. I think he could have messed up Bartolomeo really bad, possibly taken his arm like Ben did to Kid. There's also the question of what Shanks is going to do to the Kid pirates.
Kid is portrayed as one of Luffy's allies, despite his status as a "rival". They allied against the marines in sabaody. Then they allied against kaido and big mom in wano. If Kid is going after Shanks, I feel like there's a big chance Luffy will end up allying with him again to take Shanks down.
I feel like Shanks, moreso than Teach, would be the ultimate final villain for Luffy. Everything leads back to him. The man's going to end up being the Aizen of One Piece, mark my words.
