I suspect MADS were seeking to unleash these clones into the void century using the awakened toki toki no mi, since Kozuki Toki was also a clone. Problem is, Kaido ruined it because he wanted to die to his son Luffy(the real one not the clone)

If we're being serious though, Luffy's missing mom and uncanny similarities with Roger could bring some suspicions.... But then again, I hardly imagine WG or MADS randomly creating a Roger clone and then letting him go & being raised as a normal kid

So I'm sure Luffy is not a clone.

I've read CLAMP manga where main characters ended up being clones of themselves, then clones died and real ones appeared, but they were also somehow children of the aforementioned clones? Also, time travel and multiverse was involved, so it was such a mind fuck of a story, that I'm still hazy on what the hell actually happened. So no, please no more clones
