What makes gear 5 so strong is how carefree and "joyful" luffy becomes which enables him to fight with so much freedom and imagination. That's what we are seeing with luffy having fun dodging lucci while laughing, sleeping and singing. However, at the end of the chapter when we see lucci attack sentomaru, luffy suddenly looks distraught. Do people think he's just going to instantly switch back to doing his happy laughing gag attacks again? He is upset now, and now wont be able to fight like he was before. Next chapter, we will see lucci land attacks on luffy because luffy wont be able to do his happy gag dodging.

Does Oda care? But yes G5 has a weakness that didn't just magically disappear.

Zoro fought a 2v1 against Oden and Prime Full Strength King

Fraudbull needed surprise attack to hurt an already heavily nerfed and injured King, who had just lost Kaido and got embarrassed by Zoro (safe to say he had no motivation to live any longer thanks to zoro)
