Luffy will obviously end up surpassing shanks and Blackbeard to become pirate king especially if the final fight isn’t either one. Tho what if he not surpasses them overall but in their own fields?
I’m honestly not to sure about it but I don’t think it’s impossible with him being the mc and all. Along with how strong his final opponent might be
- Luffy having both an amazing fruit and haki
- Shanks likely having an even higher mastery over haki than luffy and being a weapon user
- Blackbeard 2 fruits together being likely better than where luffy is at with his fruit and having a special body
- He had or has his claw weapon but maybe he have it up when he got the fruits. Just so he can focus on them instead
So what if luffy surpasses them along with their past captains in all 4 of those things
With him eventually getting a special
- Devil fruit
- Haki
- Weapon
- Body
- Blackbeard has 2 fruits and might even get a 3rd. Luffy’s fruit somehow being just as good or even better than his does admittedly sound crazy I don’t think it’s impossible. With all the hype sun god nika/joyboy has I would be surprised if there were even more craziness when it comes to the fruit
- Blackbeard currently has a logia and paramecia and I think him getting a zoan to finish it off is possible
- Luffy’s awakening gives him access to a paramecia and zoan type awakening. While crazy him maybe getting some type of logia awakening could maybe happen
- Shanks again likely has every form of advanced haki luffy does just a higher more in depth mastery of each. He might even have some haki abilities we don’t know of yet especially when it comes to conquerors
- It’s pretty obvious luffy’s haki will surpass not just shanks’s but rogers to. Probably just through fighting and refining it more
- Unless Blackbeard brings the claws back shanks is the only one of the 3 with an actual weapon. While luffy doesn’t have a weapon now I do think there’s a big chance he gets 1 or even 2 to mirror nika. With luffy potentially being able to reach shanks or roger level mastery with them
- As for body while luffy’s body is obviously already unique do to being made of rubber it’s not special in the same way Blackbeard, whitebeard, oden, etc is. Tho this would still be connected to the fruit what if luffy was able to transform into nika/joyboy’s race
- Like it could be interesting if luffy’s g5 is just a hybrid form and he unlocks the full power later
While it sound like way too much at first
- Luffy’s the mc in a shonen manga
- Imu might just be that strong. The gorosei are basically his priest/executive equivalent. Them being fodder to him isn’t unlikely
