I saw the recent YT videos of Joy Boy theories where he mentioned his theory that in the age of heavens the and Ancient Giants waged war against each other and it was during this time that Nika appeared.

I’m going to go a bit further and say that the reason both races went extinct was because of that war and then wiping each other out.

I believe that Nika was the human who put a stop to it ultimately and established the ancient kingdom 1500 years ago.

The remnants of the Antient Giants and Lunarians mixed with other races giving rise to the giants, buccaneers and winged people.

It wasn’t stated that these races were specifically exterminated by the world give

Also I believe the OG Nika and Joy Boy are the ancestors of Garp, Dragon and Luffy

So, do you see it as a recurring cycle?

Ancient Giants war against Lunarians.
Nika comes in and founds a place where both races (+ some more) can live together peacefully.

This place--the Ancient Kingdom--grows to become the world's greatest power.
The hierarchy becomes complacent.
A rebel is born, who ventures outside its borders for the first time: JoyBoy.
JoyBoy meets new races outside the AK, which he wants to bring inside.
The AK leadership, falling into the same trap that sparked the original AG vs Lunarians conflict, fears the outsiders and tries to stop JB at all costs.

A new war begins, between the AK lineages and the outsiders.
JB's side is defeated, but the AK also crumbles.
The AK lineages escape to Mariejois, where they found a new place for them to rule without being "tainted" by close contact with these outsider races.
The outsiders and other races unrepresented by the lineages are scattered about in smaller communities, some under the new world order's influence, others on the other, more wild half of the world.

Now, almost a millennium later, a new rebel is born who wants to reshape the status quo and reform a single global place where everyone is everyone's neighbor and tolerance supports peace.

The WG has engineered artificial Lunarians to fight for them, while Nika's side will have the remnants of the "chaotic" Ancient Giants amongst their ranks.
The final war will employ catastrophic forces (AW) to terraform the world back to its AK splendor, without the discriminations championed by what later became the CD system.

Joy will be aplenty and the DFs will return to be used as an expression of imagination and whimsical, instead of being weapons.

Kaido's AG bloodline and King's Lunarian bloodline joined force with Big Mom's multiracial group. Together they aimed to conquer the world but failed due to Nika's led rebellion defeated them. Kinda makes sense. Basically Nika saved the world from the ambitious Ancient Kingdom's world domination plan and at the same time get wiped out themselves. Is it the reason why Imu kept the Joyboy's hat to remember his honorable enemy who sacrifice for greater good?

Both Kaido's and BM's organizations are failed recreations of the AK.
AG and Lunarians were working together (though not to destroy the world).
Everybody lived peacefully in the same place (but they didn't have to pay a tax nor fear a tyrant's unpredictable rampages).

They are strong and peaceful, so no one would dare to challenge them. But the existence of Nika brings the rise of trouble makers that want chaos and destruction. These guys don't exactly follow Nika's ideology. Nika wants liberation from the hands of tyranny, but these guys probably twisted his ideology into something else, an excuse to destroy other kingdoms and the world. They had the powers to destroy the world not the other way around. Whoever had the same will as Blackbeard likely caused all these disasters.

The AG conquered the new world. I'm not sure when was the term 'new world' came to be nor the size of it. The Lunarians should have the capabilities to stop them given how trash they are.

I think they were both equal and only when Nika, a human entered the picture was when they stopped.

I think that Nika later adopted the Monkey family name and that his descendants inherited the Monkey family name including Joy Boy. Joy Boy then added the D initial which turned the name into Monkey D.
