It´s a top tier show that was hailed by some critics and hardcore fans but unfortunately seems to be underwatched by a big chunk of the audience.
It´s really intricately woven, with each character representing a different facet of their generation and era.

I watched the whole show, but I’d say I spent the last two seasons not really enjoying it...the characters and writing stayed consistent throughout, but it just got boring for me after a certain point. Don Draper is one of TV’s greatest antiheroes, but otherwise, things just became too repetitive for my taste.

I would take my time. It´s something that can be watched solely for the progression of the story, i mean it´s still good, but it really shines if you get everything implied, symbolized and so forth, there is a lot to unpack.
