I just noticed demon slayers are releasing movies instead of seasonal release of the anime. as manga readers will you prefer if one piece became seasonal with proper animation and pacing, yearly movie release or are you ok with the weekly release.

With the way oda drags a lot of stuff, i think a seasonal anime will be perfect.
pros- times are changing with all the popular animes being seasonal and having great quality and patient fanbase (jjk to be precise).
cons- with the way one piece story is told, it favors a weekly release for suspense

Would be cool to have movies of certain arcs that can fit it. We had special episodes which doesn't seems bad but they are too rushed.

Cocoyasi Village could be first movie. Then Alabasta. Maybe Drum Island too? Skypea. Water 7 + Enies Lobby. Thriller Bark. Impel Down + Marineford. I think those are the best examples of pre-timeskip arcs that could be movies.

Post timeskips would be Dressrosa. Only because before that is not movie material. Zou is small. And from WCI and after is all dogshit.

If they adapted Wano arc into 4 movies.

Act 1 part - 1 (Introduction and Flashback)
Act 2 part - 2 (Raid starts and rooftop)
Act 3 (I) part - 3 (Tobbi roppo end and Zoro vs King as Finale )
Act 3 (II) part - 4 (End of Bigmom and Kaidou , end of Yonkou Saga )

It would be too good with animation.

Nothing can fix Wano.

It works for demon slayer cause it's a short manga that's already finished

it would not work for op at all
This..
Demon slayer will need over 5 years to cover the final arc, little fun fact:
The final arc of Demon slayer covers 66 chapters, not even the half of Wano who had 150 chapter lol...

Alone for making Wano, they would need over 5 Years alone if they tried to cover everything in the movies. It is impossible.

It only can work for small arcs.

It may work
With several parts.
Part 1, 2 and 3 or more depending on the length of the particular arc.....
2:30 hrs max for each part
Another thing is that, it could go like 24 episode series per season with top quality animation.

One piece story is too long, with the anime even longer due to some fillers/non-canon stuff added.
Before it reach 1100 episode i could memorize and point out most of the episode where things happen, now we reach 1100+ and i can't remember anymore what happens and in which episode so and so, too much numbers and it's just gonna keep increasing.
For that a 24 eps per season or movie based would do the trick.
