I haven't made proper researches, but is there any general consensus as to why these sites are getting shut one after the other so incessantly?

Must be regarding copyright issues for sure. Japan has gotten pretty strict when it comes to spoilers.

Guess it's more about the concern of so many sites getting shut off in such a small timeframe rather than the site itself that got shut.

At least my personal view over this matter lol.
