I do think Marco awakening will have something to dying but not like that :

I think Marco awakening will kill him ; he will sacrifice himself and all his feathers/body will spread everywhere healing everyone, at the cost of his own life.

in Dota2, there is a Hero named Phoenix and his ultimate skills is "SUPERNOVA" or "Flame of Rebirth".
and in One Punch Man, we see Phoenix Man do the same thing too.

soo im not going to surprised that much if Oda going to pull this off, and if Oda decided to make the attack/move named "SUPERNOVA", it will be symbolic either.
