I remember perfectly when each of these films came out, and Age of Ultron didn't have the same repercussion and approval as 1/Infinity War/Endgame....Avengers 1 was fucking hype, i still remember the fanart posters in early 2010-2011...
But yeah, many consider Age of Ultron the weakest Avengers movie, for a number of factors...
- Ultron doesn't come close to Loki or Thanos.
- Black Widow x Hulk couple is bad developed
- Quicksilver dumb death.
- Sokovia final battle doesn't come close to NY/Wakanda battles
But the biggest problem, in my opinion, the biggest problem of this movie was the "setting up". All the Avengers movies had a set up for the main plot. During phase 1, all films prepared a foreshadowing/cliffhanger for the first Avengers. During phase 2/3, the films set up all the Infinity Stones(except Soul stone) for Infinity War. Age of Ultron had the worst set up in my opinion.
It's definitely one of my favorite mcu movies and Ultron might be my favorite comic villain so a tad bit of bias may be at play
I think Ultron wasn't the kind of villain for 1 movie, he should have been a villain for an entire Saga, then we would really get the AGE OF ULTRON...
