I would guess that he is just chill with the gang of overgrown lesser apes and that he does not actively desire to see someone needlessly kill them all. Other than that, he pretty much gives no fecks.

I think Mihawk at least cares for the baboons. He views them more than random animals, but doesn't wanna show the affection openly.
