I'm not sure Mihawk is that great of a teacher. Maybe if it were a child starting from scratch, it would be different, but he's not gonna take time to teach another adult. Best he can do is Garp-style "throw them in the forest and let them figure out how to fight on their own" teaching. Buggy's not gonna listen anyway-- I'll bet they drive each other crazy.
