it is pretty clear now that Zoan DF has a mind/will on its own, now since Momo's DF was made from Kaido's DNA that could mean his awakening would make him as strong as Kaido or something similar to that??
i mean if Luffy was laughing all along with his awakening (probably it was Nika's personality), so imagine if Momo's got Kaido's personality and durability with his awakening... and i dont think Momo has a top durability yet.

yeah i think it was Joyboy too, but what Gorosei says isa DF itself, not the previous holder, and in Momo's case the DF was artificial from Kaido's DNA itself.
thats why his awakening will have him a Kaido's top durability imo.
i think vegapunk lied about the reality of momo's fruit it wasn't really failure but the first sucessful one. that maybethe reason the WG had become too confident no that they clone other powerfull DF and probably gave it to other members.

The fruit that Momo ate is the failed version of the SMILE fruit which was artificially created from Zoans. So you could say that Momo has the inferior version of Kaido's fruit.
