Basically who was moria's second in command in the crew that were still alive at the time because I can't remember was it hogback or absalom?

Note: just to let you know I'm talking about pre-timeskip thank you.

Yeah like it was not outright stated who was second in charge or who standout from the rest of the crew

I think Absalom, Hogback and Perona had the same authority. They were not a conventional crew because the rest were zombies, so all three were collaborating with Moria instead of being members of his crew. Remember that Moria lost all his real crew and did not want to go through that again.

Absalom was put in charge of the main strength of the crew (the zombie generals)

Hogback was in charge of the surprise zombies (the weakest group)

Perona was in charge of the wild zombies.

Absalom seems to be moriahs right hand with the name Graveyard King and being in charge of Moriahs strength of the crew.
