The question is - why was Roger to early, and why would that make him laugh
You have to consider that Roger is from an older generation, unfunny redditors would call him a "boomer" if not worse. So his humor may not be very sophisticated. Unsophisticated enough that a absurd meta fourth-wall breaking could be novel enough for him to make him laugh as strongly as he did.
So what could that be? Well the One Piece is One Piece - that may apear as just a tautology, but as everybody nows, that can have more meaning than just it's content.
The One Piece is not a treasure distinct from the series itself, but it is the series. So yeah a stupid meta joke or if you want a magic collection of self writing books or Oda chained to a desk with drawing utensils (wow commentary on society exploiting the poor mangaka to?????!?😱😱😱)
