Sanji is a weird case. He has an extreme sense of self-sacrifice and wouln't hesitate to take all the pain for himself but at the same time he's the only straw hat that can't let go of his principles even when his crewmates are in a dangerous situation. Zoro threw his swordsman pride/honor away (something extremely important for him) and begged Mihawk to train him, Nami who is on the first look the most selfish/self-centered one can throw money and life away for friends but Sanji is unable to make a concession on his beliefs no matter what. Which makes him both cool and frustrating

Luffy is selfish af!! Dude was ready to go in wci despite sanji's letter and let nami in trouble against enraged army because of what ?
Now because and thanks to him, they are facing two yonkou at the same time lmao! Wonder what people would have said if luffy and others were real...

Sanji is not selfish but worse ...

Sanji would be dead if Luffy didn't go there. He wanted to go alone, it was the others that asked him to let them come.
If Luffy didn't take that decision they wouldn't go to Wano but start a war with Big Mom instead to avenge Sanji.

Nami can take care of herself. She can act scared sometimes but she's actually really brave.

So this is not a good example of Luffy being selfish, it's just him caring about his nakamas, the opposite of being selfish.

Luffy is whimsical and carefree, not really selfish.

Obviously a Sanji hate thread in disguise but the prize goes to Luffy, quite clearly. He just does everything he wants and his friends have to adapt to his bullshit.
He is actually the captain so he can do whatever he wants. That's how it works.
But we've seen multiple examples of his crew members saying that they would do something even if Luffy would disagree and he never says no.
None of of the straw hats are actually selfish. That's why they are in his crew.

Basically you are saying something happened in the future. But the moment when Luffy took his decision to go at WCI when Sanji clearly said "i will handle it", he should have trusted him and not saying "wait imma go check just in case", Zoro also told him to don't go. What you said happened after in WCI, but at Zou they didn't know that BMP are going to kill the Germa, etc.

How she can take of herself ? lmao they are gonna face an entire enraged army after fighting Cracker for many hours, what happened after that ? ah yes got captured! if there is no plot armor, they would have killed nami and luffy at that moment, lucky it's a shonen ...
