Now that the Qin trio have been promoted and have become comparable to base GG, it seems appropriate to scale them against commanders in similar positions, so:

Mouten's standard army of 50K with Aisen and Rikusen

Against Keisha, also 50K with Gaku'ei and Kinmou.

Large neutral terrain, no outside interference.
Could Mouten already defeat such an opponent or is it a bit too early? Share your thoughts.

Tough match up for sure.

Kei Sha is a high level strategist and Instinctual Type.

Ai Sen is a powerful levy, but the entire Gaku’Ei Army was considered powerful and hard to deal with so that might even out, or even favour Kei Sha.

It’s a tough battle, one that Kei Sha is stylistically favoured in, but Mou Ten’s superior talent and leadership could quite easily carry the day.

It's way too early. Keisha was leading armies of 120k, and capable of managing them. Keisha just has way more experience operating larger scale armies, thus I would trust him to be better. While strategically, Keisha is at 91, Mouten is at 92 if we just go by stats, since their roles have been way too different for a proper manga assessment. But you add on the fact Keisha is a top tier instinctual general as well. What is Mouten's experience with an instinctual general? probably none, so he'll be getting fucked up from the get go..

At this point I think they are on similar level, but Keisha is a good counter to Mouten style-wise so I believe he can win.

I'd tag @MarineHQ but he's dropped the series
No prob. I can still give my opinion. Absolutely no doubt to me that Current Mouten takes this. I'd say he high diffs. Mouten not only has Ousen/Riboku lvl strategical talent (he was sidelined a lot in the recent years) but he also has two very solid fighters alongside him.

Hell I'd even say Shukai Mouten in this scenario could get the w.

Current Mouten would have Keisha dancing to his tune, even Ouhon would beat him in a strategic battle.

I definitely dropped for at least this campaign though
