Movie adaptions are stupid

While a lot of times it’s true that adaptations aren’t as good as the original, it’s not always the case. Some adaptations are superior to the book like Forrest Gump.
Never read the book but I heard movie was much better
Even Shawshank Redemption too. I’m pretty big on Stephen King but I’d say the movie was better
also even if the movie adaptation isn’t as good as the original source, it doesn’t make them bad. It’s just not as good but still good

Well, it's just because things like surtur might look cool in a animation or in a comic but having a fire demon walking around just cannot be done by human actors without it being inaccurate to the source material
Anime are almost always better then manga as they can do the same things as the books but without the limitation of panels or lack of color, The opposite is had with flim, you lose creative freedom as you are limited by human actors and how can move or function in a setting.
you cant have a kick like this in a film and it suffers for it as you lack, The amount of creative liberty that can be obtained in a animated

However if we’re only talking about live actions then yeah I do agree that most sucks. But I do think it’s possible for good ones to come out.
More than a decade ago ppl also thought hero comic adaptation movies were bad (Ie. fantastic four) but look at MCU now, one of the most successful movie franchise.
I think the point is you can’t expect it to look exactly like in the anime. No one is gonna be able to perform a kick like the pic u posted cuz well, actors aren’t 2d character. But that doesn’t mean they can’t do a good kick. Also with things like demons, with CGI nowadays anything is possible haha. Dinosaurs, dragons, even sutur (check out thor 3)
on the other hand, I do agree that directors should stick to the source material instead of writing their own plots. That’s one of my biggest issues with a lot of adaptations.
IMO it is possible to make a good anime live action adaptation mcu style. Only question is if there’s the budget and good directors to make it happen
Original ideas dont sell as well as they dont have that already existing audience/fanbase

Successful does not equal good, The quality of the older marvel animated movies are far better then the mcu
There's no clear contrast between the animated elements and the real life elements such as the case with the mcu flims.
the point was never about the kick itself, it was about the shadow effect but if you wanna argue about spike's foot then yea it's better as it has more of exaggeration and as such more creative liberty to express itself depending upon what the scene calls for.
Comedy scene could have more loose moments and brighter colors while serious scene could have more hard motions and darker colors
That's just an admission animation is better, CGI itself just stands for computer generated animation

Also sure successful isn’t the only criteria for a good movie but it is one. People aren’t going to the movie theatre to watch a bad movie. Many are also critically acclaimed and the reviews are good. There’s plenty more criteria to judge movies by plot, acting, cgi, directing etc and MCU movies excel in most of them

also do you realize how hard it is to CGI something and make it realistic vs animating anime? The problem with the picture you posted is mainly about how CGI technology was still new back then and there simply wasn’t the technology to make it good. Nowadays that’s a lot less of an issue
Anyways I think what it really comes down to is you don’t like movies by virtue of it not being an anime. This by no means prove that anime is a superior medium, it just means you like one of them more.
You should try watching more movies and pay attention to how they use different elements like sound or lighting. And not just manga/comic adaptations, there’s many good ones that are adaptated from books and novels.

live action adaptations mostly sucks cause of the reasons below
low budget
not grasping what the audience expects
not understanding the source
trying to copy paste the source rather then doing what'd work best
making everything revolve around high school
aiming only otaku rather then a general audience while not understanding what otakus wants hence failing to satisfy either side

90 percent of what's currently showing in cinemas now are just extensions of already existing ips which would only work if my original premise was right
Contrast how one thing looks with relation to another, This case being how the cgi interact with the actors
The animated element very clearly is not the same as the real life one

Ultimately the reason why people like say Spiderman no way home more then say spiderverse is not cause it's better wrote or animated, it's because feel insecure about watching animated products thinking they are for kids or whatever which is stupid cause the movies they watch are mostly animated anyhow but the unenlightened masses care not about what people say online afterall it's why anime still sells better then manga despite the fringe weirdos online crying about anime is filler garbage trash and nobody should like it
