Rusukaina is an island in the Calm Belt that is said to be at the northwest of Amazon Lily.
How are people able to navigate to the island? Do compasses work in the calm belt?


At some point in the past, a country supposedly used to exist on this island, but its people could not survive against the extreme environment and died out. It is a harsh island that has forty eight seasons a year which change almost weekly.
Who were the people living there?
How did the climate change occur?
An island with 48 seasons? Seem like Lunarians could adapt there...

Oda still hasn't answered these questions. Will we ever get answers?

It's an interesting island, wouldn't be surprised if Rusukaina eventually got a backstory to it.

Just like real life. Greenhouse gases happens.

It was just a harsh island for Luffy to train in. There could be 100s of similar islands out there that will never be explained where other failed ancient civilizations ruins are.

Not that much to it imo. There are many other islands that have a permanent extreme climate: Like Winter islands. So maybe the whole worlds climate will be explained at Imus defeat with the void century.
