Oh shit dude I never saw your response wtf!? Sorry lol. Completely agree, I was so fucking hyped and fanboying so hard, I love both characters and their dynamic was some of the funniest shit I've seen. Pure spirit of Naruto/Japanese absurdity right there.
Oh yeah the fucking water clone holy fuck lmao. Kisame is so underrated man. He was compared to being a freaking tailed beast. Such a fun, goated character with an interesting backstory and went out like an absolute G, a GOAT. The 7 Swordsmen of the Mist were raw AF but Zabuza and Kisame were the best by far ofc.
So glad to see someone have the same kind of appreciation and cultured taste/respect, this really makes me happy dude genuinely. Gonna have to start calling you a GOAT too like you did to me IIRC lol. Tyvm for that btw, it cheered me up when you posted that to me haha.
I love Gai and Kisame so much man.
And speaking of Gaara, I was just thinking of how well written a character he was, so compelling throughout the series and him leading the ninja alliance and becoming Kazekage was such great evolution of his character, from a tragic villain to a self sacrificial hero and reborn as the most important leader in history too. Gaara is so fucking awesome for so many reasons, he was so fucking terrifying during the Chuunin Exams and vs Rock Lee. I was on the real edge of my seat during that time in Naruto and thus brutal, merciless, visceral fights and Gaara added so much weight, tension, intensity, gravity whatever to the story and its atmosphere at the time. His design absolutely slaps too. Not a fan of his current haircut but Kishi gave a bunch of characters awful haircuts as they hit adulthood, the anime new dad bad haircut syndrome or something lmao.
