Luffy got all emotional on elbaf ,on his first encounter with loki he got furious and attacked, giants are all about heart.
Conclusion : soon emotion powered up luffy will be canon and maybe other SHs too.

I agree.

Loki could have some power similar to the Incredible Hulk, with him getting stronger the madder he gets. Or maybe something like DC's Emotional Spectrum/Green Lantern powers, with different emotions giving him different powers.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something along those lines. With his eyes bandaged like they are, I do wonder if it'll have something to do with his eyes.
