The Helen Of Troy comparison is spot on. Rocks is even portrayed as a war mongering Agamemnon type. Take your pick between Big Mom, Kaido and Whitebeard who plays the Menelaus, Achilles, Odysseus roles. Garp and Roger are the Hector and Paris.


God Valley is One Pieces Trojan War. Only in this story the war heroes survived and go home and its the war mongering king who fell alone.

Thought this thread deserved a bump. Teach's Mom's name is Eris, a goddess of chaos who planted the golden apple which led to everyone essentially fighting over Helen Of Troy. But I renig on what I said here. Rocks is actually Hector. Protecting his home, and if Garp and Roger do end up killing him I guess that makes them Odysseus and Achilles in the One Piece narrative. Garp however lives to be an old man and goes on to get the glory Achilles never did outside of Legend.

Roger ends up having his Odessy which leads to the start of the story.
