King using Devil Leg again :crazwhat::sanjimeh:

Anime watchers being trolled thinking he will fight Sanji :suresure: :suresure: :seriously:

Does Sanji saves Momonosuke next chapter? :stealthblack:
I mean, King can't be going that hard on Shinobu, right? :kobeha:

The pacing in the rooftop portion was awkward, damn

Queen best Beast Pirate btw :funky:

Good episode.

Man I have even waiting for Sulong Inurashi and Nekomamushi since the Carrot transformation.

Loved the Sulong transformations for the musketeers such a dope scene, Jack deserved what he got for attacking Zou.

Queen's reactions are hilarious, definitely my favorite Beast Pirate for sure.

We finally see another Number, they kinda don't look intimidating at all compared to when they first showed up in silhouette lol

Since we see King in Zoan form without our favorite cook on his beak that can only mean 2 things, Judge's son was already dumped or Toei added filler and Judge's son is going to beat his previous speed record of getting no diffed and this time he has no excuses since King is coming from a distance, the next episode has everything to be fun.

  • We're going to need a drinking game for every time Kaido flashes back to Oden.
  • The homies tanked Nami and Carrot's combo.:noo: Carrot might leave Onigashima without any Ws.

  • Give an Oscar to the snail phones that cough blood every time a fodder is killed on the other end of the line.

  • Respectful of Kaido to give the Scabbards a ride to the roof, at the same time none of them to stab him on the way there.
  • Kaido assuming his pose on the roof and the camera flying by each of the Scabbards:goyea:
  • I figured Nangi looked like a yeti covered in fur. :whitepress:He's just a disgusting half naked man in the snow.

  • I want anime Raizo to get one hit on Jack. Imagine being tied up and hearing Mink bloodshed for 5 days over your body and not being able to do a damn thing about it.

  • Honestly, white Sulong forms + white snowy battlefield + white full moon at night doesn't look too shabby all together.
  • Poor Jack just can't catch a break :milaugh:but showing off Sulong now makes it more impressive when he's the last animal standing.

  • I needed Neko's Cheshire smile in darkness as the cliffhanger. Missed opportunity.
Solid episode. A definite slow down from the last two, however, taking all the setup scenes from the samurai removing their disguises and joining their pirate allies + the Minks starting their assault on the roof + other invaders like Marco and Peros from 987/988 bunched up into a single budget episode worked well. Neko and Inu looked like they were going to transform at the end of 987 just for the Jack Fodder Squad to interrupt next chapter, so reworking their cliffhanger until after the battle begins was really good. Nice OST choices sold the mystical nature of Sulong and hyped the Zoro/Kid/Law raid scenes. Art not too sharp this time, but you can blame that on dragon Kaido, dozens of Sulong Minks and way too many crowd shots. Animation was okay with standard fodder killing, flying Kaido takes the prize.

This leaves the rest of the chapter as all King and Big Mom. Next episode should be a good time.

Nice set up episode.

Kaido taking to the roof with the scabbards in tow was great, albeit his Dragon form looked a little off at times. That scene is a prime example of how music helps set the stage; in this case, it enhances the atmosphere and sets the tone for us viewers. Stuff like this is what sets the anime apart from the manga.

It looks like we're getting Sanji's clash with King next week, so I'm looking forward to that as well.

The next couple of episodes are going to be exciting.:stealthblack:

Also, Tesshō Genda does a phenomenal job bringing Kaido's laugh to life; I can't get enough of it!

Guess who's leading samurai?
I say leading samurai and not The samurai because it's only half a dozen of them, this might be a dropped plot point by Oda and Toei is cleaning up for him or Oda can still make it happen:kayneshrug:
Post automatically merged:

Toei made Kaido huff.
Someone had to take Zoro's manga huffs.

Kaido huffing so Zoro could smile :zosmug:

My favorite scene was the one with Kid and Killer. Those two have been doing a lot lately, so it was nice to see their short scene from the manga expanded a little bit. I liked the interaction they had with the yakuza boss woman, and since that character barely does anything in the manga, it was nice seeing the tiniest bit of characterization from her.
