News One Piece Heroines Anime Adaptation Announced

At ONE PIECE DAY’25 today on the Egghead Saga Voice Actors Special Stage Event, the voice actors announced an anime adaptation of the ONE PIECE novel HEROINES series, written by Jun Esaka and illustrated by Sayaka Suwa.

ONE PIECE novel HEROINES is a collection of short stories focused on the women of the ONE PIECE world. The series was initially released as short stories in One Piece Magazine before being collected into two light novels.

The first light novel has stories focused on Nami, Robin, Vivi, and Perona, while the second volume has Hancock, Tashigi, Reiju, and Uta chapters, with the final story being a conversation between Nami and Robin about the crew’s hygiene. Viz Media has released both volumes in English in July 2025.

Yu Kamatani (ONE PIECE in LOVE) is directing ONE PIECE Heroines with character designs from Takashi Kojima (Flip Flappers) and scripts written by Momoka Toyoda (One Piece Fan Letter). Further details, such as release date or format, were not revealed.

just found out like 15-20 min ago from watching the livestream. bought the english versions of the books (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2) a few weeks ago and just finished reading earlier this week, I was kinda shocked when Nami's seiyuu made the announcement

actually i read it initially from the One Piece Magazine series as early as 2019 through different entries of One Piece female characters but it started getting novels published in ~2021

I never read them cause similar to the Law novel they didn't get an english translation (that I know of) until fairly recently

Might give em a shot now though

i have the entire collection (as of June 2025 that i starting collecting since July 17) of One Piece Magazine and I was basically using my smartphone camera and google translate to roughly translate the novel segments lol, plus some custom illustrations included for each

the Law one was genuinely endearing, especially with his backstory post-Corazon and how he became a Worst Gen pirate.
